Burn Permit

Roosevelt County has moved to a new online platform for burn permits. This will be a change from the old system of faxing in a request.

The new system will provide a live map of Roosevelt County for current controlled burns, online tools for residents to check burn permit status and conditions in the area. The site will show if burn permits are active or restricted based on current weather and fire risk factors.

For new users or current users to active a burn permit please visit: https://app.egovmt.com/burnpermit/ 

Select “Roosevelt County” and follow the instructions to purchase a burn permit. The cost of the yearly permit is $5.00. These permits will need to be renewed every January. Burn permits can be purchased online or at the Roosevelt County Courthouse.
